Here is a short tutorial to use our remotes with VERA EDGE to launch Scenes. In this example, we only use a Smart Plug as reciever but you can imagine scenes like shutters down and light ON before watching a film, or shutters up and start making the coffee at wakup or whatever else.
What is important is how to set up the remote or the wall switch in order to take control of your house.
First of all, you need to include your device at your gateway. Go into “Devices” section, “Add device”, “Other Devices” and “Other Zwave device” as followed :
A countdown will display, you will have to include the device before the end. For that, press upper right and upper left buttons simltanously until a Led bright in purple.
Once done, make a short press on upper left button.
Let the system work ! When finished, the gateway will display a message and the controller will double blink in green.
You can go now into the list of your devices to have a look at your new device.
Now it is time to set up your scene. Go to “Scenes” section and “add scene”.
Select your device witch will make the trigger (the Wall Switch or Soft Remote):
The system will now ask you to choose a scene number.
You will need to select 1 for the upper left button, 2 for the upper right button, 3 for the lower left button or 4 for the lower right button.
Choose now one or more devices to be controled.
Your scene is now created ! You can easily set up for scenes using this method !
